Redneck Roadtrip

Redneck = “The glorious absence of sophistication.”

Faith is not:
-a sophisticated hobby.
-an intellectual argument.
-an attractive, suburban lifestyle.
-a young, hipster, cool thing to do.
-a juiced up, “excellent” experience.

Faith is not a one size fits all, cookie cutter, interstate Highway.

Instead, faith is a journey down long country roads. It is not easy.
It involves road blocks, dirt roads, road kill, and sometimes having to stop and pee in the woods because you can’t find the rest stop. Okay, that’s a stretch, but you get what I’m saying.
Nobody always has all the answers. Nobody gets to define or put man-made standards on your journey.

Sometimes trusting Jesus is about having grit. Toughness. Thick skin. It requires being willing to walk down difficult roads that require steadfast belief, confidence, conviction, and reliance on God.

Man I am PUMPED UP for this new series, #RedneckRoadTrip starting this Sunday. If you want to get ahead, go read the story of Abraham and Sarah found in the book of Genesis!
